These delicious fruity drinks are perfect for summer. They are nonalcoholic and perfect for young, too. Whether these drinks cool as you a summer breeze. Try Citrus Cooler, Apricot Fizz, creamy pineapple-Peach Drink. These drinks can be tasted by diabetics in reasonable quantities. The drink contains only the pineapple peach natural fruit sugars. Yogurt and milk provide protein to counteract this sugar. The apricot is also a good year for young people with ginger ale fizz. If children have diabetes, it is probably preferable to use regular ginger ale. The flavors of citrus and mint gives the cooler a refreshing flavor.
Pineapple-CREAMY PEACH DRINK
1 / pineapple chunks 2 cups canned in own juice
1 / 2 cup pineapple juice unsweetened
2 peach halves, diced
1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt
1 cup Fat Free Milk
2 v. tablespoons Splenda
Combine the pineapple, pineapple juice and peaches in container of blender, puree. Add yogurt, milk, and Splenda, continue processing until smooth and thick. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. It is an ideal drink for young people with the yogurt, milk, and the natural sweetness of fruit. If you usually serve alcoholic beverages at family gatherings, it is a good way to give children a drink virgin. They will realize that they grow do not need alcohol to enjoy a good drink.
APRICOT FIZZ
3 cups apricot juice unsweetened
3 cups ginger ale Diet
1 tsp tablespoon lemon juice
Chill apricot juice and ginger ale carefully. To serve, Mix the apricot juice, ginger ale and lemon juice, mix well. Pour into individual glasses.
Yield: 6 one cup servings. Per serving: 62 calories, 15 g carbohydrate, 1 g protein
Note: You can use ginger ale instead of regular diet if you're not diabetic or diet.
CITRUS COOLER
3 / 4 cup boiling water
1 / leaves 2 cup fresh mint, coarsely chopped
4 cups of lemonade without sugar
1 cup orange juice unsweetened
1 cup pineapple juice unsweetened
3 / 4 cup grapefruit juice unsweetened
1 / 2 cup Splenda granular
Pour boiling water over the mint leaves. Cover and let stand 10 minutes to 20. Strain mixture, discarding the mint leaves. Transfer mint-flavored water in a large container. Add lemonade and juices, stir in the Splenda and stir until well blended and Splenda is dissolved. Cover and refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours for flavors to blend.
Serves 6
